About Us
Makani Kai Marina is a residential yachting community located at 45-995 Wailele Road, on the southern shore of beautiful Kaneohe Bay.  The gated, 14-acre development consists of 80 town home and apartment style residences, a manager's residence, three parking garages, clubhouse, pool, picnic area, and 82 boat slips in our marina.  The residences are designed to five different architectural elevations and are built on the landscaped, rolling hillsides adjacent to the scenic Kea'ahala stream between Kaneohe town and the bay.  The varying architectural design, tropical landscaping, palm-shrouded walks, and expansive lawn areas give the community a unique botanical ambience.
The marina is divided into two sections separated by a paved access road.  The inner harbor area has 53 slips which vary in size from 28' x 13' to 38' x 14'. The outer harbor is separated from Kaneohe Bay by a concrete and earth-filled breakwater and has 28 slips which vary in size from 44' x 15' to 50' x 20'. The inner harbor can accommodate vessels up to 7' of draft; the outer harbor can accommodate vessels up to 8' of draft. Slips are privately owned by Association members and are deeded to individual units.
The Association is a not-for-profit corporation whose members are owners of the community residences.   The Association is governed by a five-person Board of Directors who are property owners in the community.
